< ASX version="3.0">
| < entry> < ref href="tj301.asx"/>

| < entry> < ref href="tj301.asf"/>

How do I get rid of those red blotches when I scan a color image ?

It helps most if you scan in the highest possible resolution of your scanner and then later reduce the size with software.
You need some RAM in your system to do that ( 32 MB or more ).

How do I avoid backside shinethru to appear in the image ?

Put a sheet of darkgrey or black paper ( 120 gr ) behind your image when you scan.
It makes the image a bit darker but that can easily be corrected with photosoftware ( usually supplied with the scanner )
